I am working on some logo sketches for the newly-minted but esteemed CT Young Birders Club, so I thought I would resurrect my old post-a-drawing-in-stages routine. These are drawn digitally, but all freehand, cause that’s how I roll. Stay tuned, it will be so exciting! OK, well, it might be a little dull, but coming up: Color! Refinement! Or maybe you can watch me ruin it!
Blackburnian Warblers sketch, drawn in Photoshop using a Wacom tablet and stylus. A very special thank you to amazing CT photographer A.J. Hand for letting me use some of his photos as reference.

Your drawings are out of sight! Wish I could’ve made your show.
Best,
Frank Gonzales
Hey, you in my world now, but damn you just nail legs & feet! I just got the new tablet (intuos4) and it really makes a difference, much more sensitive than the i3. Good luck with it, though i suspect you won’t need it, have you got Corel Painter? I’d love to see what you could get from the watercolor brushes!
