this one is taking me a while; I think I might post it in stages, like I used to. I’d like to see one of these “finished.” this risks ruining it, of course, and do I really want to draw all of those spots?? why yes, actually, I think I do.

I’m so glad you are doing shorebirds. I found quite a lot of this one species dead on Stinson Beach when I was there in May. I thought of you.( I took some photos for you, if you want them to draw from.)

Cathy, These are amazing! You capture the feeling of the wonderful creatures you portray. I look up your website every once in a while. Lucy (your former neighbor in Altadena). P.S. BTW, my mom is doing well even with some disabilities. She lives in a nursing home that is homelike. I’m still dreaming of being an artist! It’s great that you are. I took lessons from Eric Wiegardt a few years ago. He has a website you can look up. He does watercolor, but I have noticed that some of your drawings look like watercolor, and I’ve never seen that done before.
