		<description>More photos are coming... I have a few thousand to go! I started shooting leps before I really got into them, too, &#038; now I'm really glad I got some of those shots.

I missed every CBC this year, so I'm envious. But come Jan 1st I'll be hitting the park like crazy.

More photos!

I really appreciate your Lep shots. I had always birded CA in years past either BEFORE I was "doing" butteflies; or after I was looking at leps, I have been birding CA in winter (great waterfowl, alcids et in NoCal, but no butterflies). BUT this past year ('06) I finally birded CA in late summer: from Big Sur north to Bodega Bay. Besides amazing birds, I was finally able to see lots of CALIFORNIA SISTERS (esp. along the parks of Big Sur)and thier close relative LORQUIN'S ADMIRAL and a bunch of other beautiful CA butterflies and odonates. Nice shots.
BTW: just finished my 3rd CBC: two more to go.
