** While not especially rare, these were interesting: the PB Grebe and the Chipping Sparrow are out of season, and the Waxwings are not always seen.

Just checking mind you, but under ChippingSparrow, you mention it was with 100+ WHITE-CROWNED Sparrows? Is this right, or should it be “White-throated”?
BTW: Just slipped down to th Aldritch (Rindgefield CT, just a shot away) to see Prosek’s bird show. Have you seen it?

I posted this before, but for some reason it did not appear. With the CHIPPING SPARROW, should that read WHITE-THROATED Sparrow? Or did you have 100 White-CROWNEDS?
RE: Chppings in winter: not that rare anymore, especially here in MA on the SE coastal plain. It’s a case of “better birders or global warming or something else”? My guess is the former
Zipped down to the Aldritch to see Prosek’s bird installation work? Have you seen it?

Thanks for catching that, Mark, it was a typo. I have seen some of Prosek’s installation work in repro but not in person; I’ll have to run up to the Aldrich to see it…
