Starting October 1, 2007, I will be running this blog in conjunction with the venerable Massachusetts Audubon Society as part of a three-week artist’s residency. I will be visiting various Mass Audubon refuges and keeping an online sketchbook from my experiences. Each day I will post as the drawings progress; sometimes they will be finished pieces, sometimes not.

    Already I feel as if I’m seeing our wildlife sanctuary in new ways after our brief conversations yesterday and reading your first blog entry. We’re thrilled to have you with us for the next three weeks and look forward to seeing what you create.

    Each day, I can’t wait to get to the computer and see your newest entry. Through your words and drawings, I can feel the fog, hear the birds, smell the woods, feel the leaves crackle underfoot. What a great vicarious nature experience! So glad you are able to do it…
